Besshi Souichi is a former anime producer. He was born in Takamatsu, the capital of Kagawa Prefecture. In 1963, he graduated from the faculty of commerce at Chuo University. In 1966, he ed Shin-Ei Animation, and he assumed the position of managing director. In March 2009, he left Shin-Ei Animation.
