Kyoto Animation (short: KyoAni) is an animation studio established in 1981. Having produced only a few series, all of them were financially a hit and generated a stong fan-following.

The studio's most noted show was the popular Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu anime adaption.

Kyoto Animation is known to produce most of its animation in-house and fosters an animation school which has brought up many talented animators, resulting in high quality animation, which has been one of the selling points of the studios' productions.
