Anime: Seikon no Qwaser 682a1t

Watch the OVA "Seikon no Qwaser: Jotei no Shouzou / Portrait of the Empress" between episodes 10 and 11.

I commend this anime and advise watching it if it seems it perhaps would please you. It is fairly good at portraying characters. It avoids some common faults in manga and animation (as well as probably most media).

The boy who is one of the main characters is in some ways more manly in character than most high school manga and anime protagonists. This made him less annoying and the anime more enjoyable.

The rules for quality of the soma (magical power drink) changed midway through. In the beginning it depended on the qualities of the person, then on their emotions. Later, it depended on how it matched the person drinking the soma. This was a mistake. Once the rules of the world are established, changing them damages the illusion. Who had superpowers had no more reason than the whim of the script writer -- which diminished the meaning.

The uncensored version showed nipples. Presentation of erotically stimulating views and themes were handled fairly well. It was large in quantity.

There is some variety in types of relationships with an erotic aspect. What is not portrayed is eroticism between males.

A weak point is the portrayal of most combats. They are mostly iconic -- without reason or meaning except serving to indicate who is superior to whom. There is often no balance between abilities of opponents. The portrayal of action itself is mostly too unrealistic (even by their own rules of magic) and arbitrary and therefor uninteresting. The number of male and female fighters were about the same.

This animation has a fairly broad appeal. It is most well made to appeal to boys of about 13 or 14 years of age. Men may enjoy it as well. The complexity is not too little.
The focus is mostly on the women and there is much lesbian activity. Female viewers can enjoy this animation if they don't feel that the amount of focus on males is lacking too much. There are a variety of attractive males in the animation as well.

I'm rating the enjoyment in between my own enjoyment and what I anticipate it to be for the demographic most targeted.

Hello. In this review, I will try to be as descriptive and honest as possible, so as to present a vivid, and understandable, view of this interesting and unique series.
Let me start off with this: this show is very, very ecchi: Lactation is used as a major/important plot device, which may turn off some viewers. It really does push the
boundaries of taste and fanservice, and is thus not for those who don't like ecchi. However, if you can stomach the ecchiness of this series, you will find in actuality
a heartfelt and engrossing story. A story filled with characters who grow and develop as the series progresses. I will rate the several aspects of this anime, as you would
find in others - in other words, I will describe various aspects of this show, but for those who desire to watch Seikon no Qwaser, I will only post one spolier. Shall we begin?

1. Art & Animation:

The animation is crisp, detailed, and vibrant. Every character is unique and stylized in an original fashion. For those ecchi viewers out there, we have some very beautifully detailed
breasts - the females in this series are highly provocative, and thus there is plenty of well-drawn fanservice. The male characters, while although not the main focus of this series
(with the exception being the protagonist Aleksandr "Sasha" Nikaelovich Hell, aka the Qwaser of Iron), are well-drawn as well. The colors of both the characters and the various locales
in which they interact with each other paint a original and visually striking viewer experience.

2. Sound:

The music is probably the least appealing aspect of this series: the openings and closers are competent, but not memorable. The composer does a fairly good job of capturing the
essence of the situation, whether it is romantic going-ons or the full on battles. Overall, the music is apt for the series it's in.

3. Story:
Here is where this series really shines - beneath the veneer of fanservice, lies a tale of vengeance, justice, and love. The story revolves around our main protagonist, whom
I shall be calling "Sasha" for the remainder of this review. The story centers upon "Sasha"'s organization, which is kind of clandestine group fighting against a self-interested organization.
However, neither organizations contain a black and white morality: neither are perfect, but both attempt to achieve their objectives In different ways. Let us just say these organizations
have their flaws, but the latter, self-interested organization evolves towards a more hazardous bent. People die, people survive, and ultimately people grow through the various
events that happen to and through them, which leads to our next, and most important, aspect of this series - its characters.

4. Characters:
Let me begin by stating that the main characters of this series are not the same people they were at the beginning of this series. Despite the obviously unrealistic premise of this show,
the main characters of this series grow in realistic ways - they suffer, they think, but in the end, they come to with who they are, and what they stand for. For example, without
spoiling anything, our protagonist "Sasha" grows to procure different philosophical issues with his enemy organization. His love interest Mafuyu-chan is hardly a pushover either. She is
actually a very strong sub-protagonist to Sasha, one who is protective of her friends and unafraid to them, even though she has no Qwaser powers. The ing characters
surrounding these two have their own motives for what they do as well, but have some fairly substantial character development as well.

5. Value
An interesting analogy (but nowhere near as explicit or ecchi as Seikon no Qwaser) is that this series is similar to Witchblade, created by Gonzo in 2006.
In that series, underneath he sexual aspects of the show, lied a great character dynamic between the main character Masane Amaha and her
daughter. In that series, Gonzo created a heartfelt story about, essentially, a mother and her daughter and the intrigue they endure concerning Masane's
role as the Witchblade bearer. In this series, this animation team fleshed out a touching tale of love, vengeance, and humanity of its characters:
people die, people grow, people survive, and ultimately people decide who they are and what they stand for, with regard to the events that surround and
envelop them,

6. Enjoyment

For ecchi purists, you will receive a plethora of sensual, sexual, and highly erotic occurrences concerning very curvaceous and eyecandyly appealing female characters.
This is NSFW for a reason. For those who look beneath the fanservice however, will find a character-driven story with individuals who evolve and grow realistically,
despite the highly supernatural premise of the series. I hope this review serves you well, and I hope you enjoyed reading my foray about this series,
