Its hard to believe this is an anime from 1979!! Its as good as brand new even in 2020. Both the writers and the animators were bloody geniuses.
Definitely watch this.
With Lupin movies you don't have to worry about any watching order. They are all pretty independent stories.

Lupin and Jigen have just pulled off another million-dollar heist - only to find out that all one million dollars of it are counterfeit money from Cagliostro! Cagliostro has supplied the world with counterfeit money of all nationalities for decades, only surviving because of the global economy's strong dependence on the faux dough.
Shortly after crossing Cagliostro's borders, Lupin encounters the lovely princess of Cagliostro, hotly pursued by the Duke of Cagliostro's cronies - and loses her to the Duke's men who imprison her in his heavily-fortified castle. A bit of inquiry reveals that the Duke has plans to marry the princess against her wishes... and perhaps other plans as well, one involving finding a priceless treasure lost for centuries.
A beautiful damsel in distress, an evil Count to be smote, a lost treasure, and the biggest counterfeiting racket on the face of the earth... this is an order just too big for Lupin to resist! But it will take the combined effort of Lupin and all of his friends - Jigen, Goemon, Fujiko, the courageous and selfless Princess herself, and even the relentless Inspector Zenigata - to thwart the Duke's plans and save the day! Excitement and mayhem are in store!

One of the anime I grew up watching. It's amazing in many ways. Has a little bit of everything for all types of anime fans: action, drama, comedy, romance, intrigue, suspense, memorable characters, great storyline, superb animation, and so on. I've watched this movie so many times over the years that I've lost count. A must see for all anime fans and a required viewing, IMHO. Don't hesitate and watch this classic gem ASAP!

It's a movie that has aged extremely well, offering plenty of excitement even if you've never watched other Lupin anime like me. Animation is lively and on point. Recommended for all ages.

It is a brilliant anime, I just came across this one and since i had some time to kill (on vacation) choose to watch this one and it was a Genie in the lamp,

Accidentally came across it on TV and watched it. I wasn't at all disappointed, I haven't seen the main series but the movie at least is worth the watch. It's fun, adventurous, has romance in it and animation's great.

Great classic adventure flick! This was quite the awesome ride! If you're looking for a true classic anime movie, then look no further!
