This anime had a compelling premise of a select few being able to see Angels and are given special abilities to combat each other to become the next God. However, the characters and villains are not interesting. To compound on that, there are many moments throughout where the characters are extremely naive. In the end, this was a cool premise but wasn't executed well.

You like depressing anime, THIS IS IT. THIS IS A MASTERPIECE AT THAT. WITHOUT SPOILERS THE END IS IT.
it's kind of like Mirai Nikki but turn it to 11 (whatever that phase come from , English is not my 1st language and I know Japanese so I can't say it's super Japanese or whatever(like some people here) Cause I don;t understand how the western people see things

Holy mother of genre-shifting anime. During the first half of the series, I wrote how I hated how it's basically "idealism" vs "dirty" for a long period. But after certain point, they ditch everything and totally go WHAM.
Every few episodes after that fluctuates a lot, as far as X±2 rating. I freaking love anime that able to change their scope drastically, and this anime totally do that. Anything can happen, and you can either hate or love it.
The rating is totally understandable, as it was pretty hard to stomach the first half of mediocre. And even if people survive that, the rest is totally not everyone. So, WATCH IF: you really want to be in a batshit crazy flow.
EXTRA: Just realized it's made by Death Note author, which explain why there're flashes of brilliance. Tho yeah, ultimately it's only 20% of what it could have been.

Brutal and Amazing!
It is not for everybody - it is not lighthearted, or filled with wonderous adventures. It is somewhat slow, yet not boringly slow. And because of that - it paints a masterpiece story and world.

This is weird to say but I will simply say that this is worth to watch even if it's to hate it at the end (yes, there is a very high chance that you will hate it - not going to spoil it but yes, this is a big red warning before you think about wasting your free time with it -).
It's "super Japanese" in of lots of things look and feel made specifically for their audience so be aware of that. This means that many may end ignore it after a few episodes in and it won't feel wrong at all since it's not exactly made for us, foreigners, to watch it.
In short, the entire anime is about angels and salvation with a bit of drama here and there mixed with Japanese culture so if you want/care about something a bit more on the adult and dramatic side... you got something here to watch on your free time.
And yes, it's from the same creator of Death Note but that doesn't mean that it's on the same level so don't expect something on the L/Light level at all.
