Anime: Kanata no Astra 6u5q4r

Good science fiction show with interesting characters, although the (obligatory...) choice of making the main charactes high school students makes suspension of disbelief harder sometimes, especially the first episodes. More than once things happen because they have to, but overall what appears to be initially out of place is later given a (mostly) satisfying explanation.
Lots of twists, but only a few really impactful, infact you will see most of them coming, especially if you aren't that young anymore ...

Space survival and a great plot? What else could you ask for??

The plot premise starts out quite bland, but the story quickly develops into a fast-paced and well-crafted sequence of mysteries and conspiracies around the several characters. Throw in exoplanet exploration, some light comedy, and a pinch of romance, and you get a series that's likely to satisfy almost everyone.

While the engaging pace is one of the series' strong points, I actually wish they had made it longer by throwing in some fillers with plain space adventure.
What I wonder is why we can't have more series like this instead of the endless parade of copy-paste Isekai with silly long names...

HOLY SHIT THIS HAS EVERYTHING for something pretty niche. It starts off as a strangely happy-go-lucky exploration in the unknown, with a cheesy optimistic MC, into a very memorable journey, and lastly a very good mindfuck.

Not only that, they managed to do everything while maintaining core side aspects like characters, relationships, pacing, etc.

Great story with lots of twists and nice characters. I loved this gem and highly recommand it!!

The futuristic world was pretty rad... I mean the main characters were traveling to another planet as a school trip. Initially, this was turning out to be a rough watch as everyone had an anti-social attitude, but open up as the series progresses. However, what makes this anime a great watch are all the twists and planet exploration that takes place. Most shows, don't stick the ending, but this one does. Start to finish, this is a great watch and has many sci-fi elements that will keep you entertained throughout.

IMHO, this one has no fancy art style, and characters design is just normal. But the story is actually very interesting. While you think it is just another space anime with a group of teens with normal anime setup, and when you think the story will go to one direction, wrong!!! What you will find is a lot of unexpected twists keep on happening one after one, no kidding! And they are interesting twists that keeps on making the story very engaging.

An interestingly rare premise setup in futuristic utopia with a nice blend of space adventure and conspiracy unravelling.

It started with some really tingly tense situation being lost in space, and soon blend into a mix of light-hearted adventure cum survival mode while maintaining a thriller-esque vibe. Don't be put off by the change of atmosphere as I felt the strong point of this space adventure was the character development and the unravelling of the mysterious surrounding them.

The crew itself is nice blend of various unique individuals, some cute, some you may dislike or feel suspicious to. As the mystery and plot unraveled I found myself to like them all. Plot starts to heat up midway to a couple of climatic twists, kept me cliffhanged each week. Best of all it ended nicely in a double lenght final ep.

If u can bear some anime physics, and some plot driver that's a bit far-fetched - I highly recommend this for its great story and very enjoyable crew. 8/10.

Great sci-fy story which takes you more and more into space and the the adventure of getting lost and how to survive until you knew about yourself and the ones with you.

It seemed very run-of-the-mill to me at first glance, but quickly turned into an interesting show full of compelling mysteries and conspiracies and a lot of discussion on nature vs nurture, however unsubtle.

What was most surprising was seeing a positive portrayal of a future human society. Science fiction has become mostly dystopian in the last few years, and I think it's important to retain some positive images of the future to work towards.

And Kanata no Astra is certainly positive in many aspects, with a happy ending to boot. That should be notable in itself: the anime has a definitive ending, tying up all plot threads and even giving everyone an epilogue.

The only noteworthy negative is that the characters can be unbearably stupid in dangerous situations, but that's about it. Everything else is at least solid, or better. Recommended for all audiences.
